Skip Wehner has over 20 years of commercial lending experience. He began his leasing career (even though he didn’t know it was starting at the time) back in 1985 as a receptionist and file clerk for a Denver based leasing company while still in high school as a summer job. He graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Psychology, so he naturally went into commercial finance to use what he had learned.

Over the years, Skip has held various positions at a multitude of leasing companies (big and small) including Credit Analyst, Marketing Director, VP Sales and SVP of Operations where he oversaw Credit, Collections, Customer Service, and Funding of a large publicly traded leasing company. Skip has been actively involved with UAEL (United Association of Equipment Leasing) for most of his professional career and recently finished a two year commitment as a Director on the Board of Directors for UAEL. He currently serves as the Regional Co-Chair for the local UAEL group.

He enjoys his daily “board meetings” with Rick and Dan over his favorite drink, a dry cappuccino. Skip is married to his wonderfully supportive wife Sheri (who blessed his wishes to quit his W-2 job and start Specialty Coffee Finance). They have three children and three dogs (yep…three dogs). In his “off time,” Skip enjoys camping, skiing (while his kids snowboard), making an espresso, and generally anything that can get him in the mountains…..making an espresso while camping or skiing is still on the “to do” list.
